Life Lessons From Throne of Glass

Not all fiction reads are unproductive and a waste of time…

If you come from the world of self help and self improvement, you might be inclined to believe that you need to be reading nonfiction books like 48 Laws of Power or the Let Them Theory in order to make reading productive and worthwhile. I certainly did.

What I didn’t expect, is to learn new life lessons and reinforce my existing paradigm and world view by reading my current series, Throne of Glass.

### What I’ve learned from Throne of Glass

If you’re planning on reading this book/series, relax. I’m not going to spoil it for you.

But getting into what I learned, this is a book about fate and destiny, which really aligns with how I view the world. You see, I believe that everything happens for a reason and as crazy and f**ked up as it might sound I believe that some things are meant to happen if for nothing than to teach us valuable, priceless, life lessons.

To get a little deep, I have precisely one regret in this life. But the reason that tally isn’t higher is because that one regret taught me 2 lessons:

  1. Regret is the worst feeling - hoping, wishing and dreaming that you could go back in time and take a different course of action (all in vain).
  2. I will never regret anything ever again
